Moving from Atlas CTP to MS AJAX 1.0 release the update panel stopped working properly. Triggering a postback from my custom tabbed pane control inside the update panel always caused a full page refresh instead of only updating the updatepanel contents. The solution: My custom rendererd control was not rendering a surrounding div with the id attribute set to its ClientID. Adding the div fixed the problem.
